While we are not talking about the interpretation in terms of stagecraft, we do consider the interpretation of speech, to some extent, a kind of art.

Imagine what it means to transfer information from one language to another in seconds! While the interpreter can know about the subject in advance, and what is perfect in the target language, it is not possible to have information about the text of the speech, as it is not written in most cases.

CONSECUTIVE INTERPRETATION AND LIAISON
