Certified translations (also called legalised translations or sworn translations)

This is branch of legal translation. This is used for deeds, contracts, certificates, diplomas, and qualifications; in general, for any document that requires legal validity, through its seal and signature, that the contents of both documents (original and translation) irrefutably coincide. For this reason, only an accredited translator acknowledged by a public body belonging to the State can perform the translation. This must not be confused with legal translations, which refers to the translation of legal texts.

Pricing

Pricing depends on the document for translation, the target language, the subject matter and the word count. The amount of words is not always the most important factor to be taken into account for sworn translations. On many occasions tables have to be represented and / or numerical values must be copied, as is the case of academic qualifications, clinical analyses, reference tables and others. In this scenario nothing need be translated, rather information must be transferred, though this can be very time-consuming as in a translation there can be no room for error.
