STANDARD TRANSLATIONS
What is the Standard Translation?
By “standard translation” we understand the translation of a text that does not require legalisation (please refer to the section on legal translations), or is a specialist text (engineering, medicine etc.). Should the client so wish, they can choose how they would like the text of the target language to appear in other words, if the translator has to maintain the original style or, if, for example, an everyday text must be translated with a marketing slant. Standard translation is what is requested of us in the majority of the cases.
For what subject matters are standard translations suitable?
A small selection is given below of the type of texts we work with:
- Web pages
- Presentations
- Texts and lists of any nature
- Gastronomic menus
- Price lists
- Company presentations
- Advertisements, notices, signposting, leaflets and flyers
- Magazine and newspaper articles
- Legal correspondence: emails, letters, faxes, memos, newsletters
- Verification, proofing, adaptation and retranslation of translations carried out by third parties
- Transcription of audio and video recordings
- Scripts
“Low cost” translation
Our “low cost” translation service is envisaged for texts with a highly restricted circulation and that serve merely to comprehend the source language. It is a quality alternative to automated translated texts performed online that cannot ensure its comprehension. These are performed automatically using CAT (Computer-Aided Translation) and other tools, applying a subsequent proofreading performed by a human translator. This service is not available for all language combinations, though we will be pleased to assess your needs.
